Django Guilt

When white people see a movie that makes them feel guilty, black people can do pretty much whatever they want.

Mindfuck Movies (I'm a link. Click me.)

quiverquill:

From this list, so far I’ve watched the following.

  1. Memento. Mind-boggling movie about a guy who can’t make new memories since his wife’s death. The backwards story telling really works well here as it’s like being the main character himself. We have no idea who among the characters is telling the truth since we only rely on Polaroid photos with names and little notes on them.
  2. Black Swan. In which the movie shows you how it feels to be a schizo, losing control of yourself, showing your dark side, being “perfect” in that sense. I wrote a short post about it here.
  3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Watch this after breaking up with someone you want to wipe out from your mind. You won’t stop crying, I promise.
  4. The Prestige. Two rival magicians fighting to be the best in the town. Seems boring eh? Not if the movie is created by Christopher Nolan. Yes, that dude who made Inception, Dark Knight Trilogy and Memento. Get ready to be confused. And watch closely! Or better yet, just watch it again. The devil is in the details.
  5. Inception. Do I still need to write something about this? What it’s about: stealing dreams and planting real-life idea through dreams, thereby controlling a person’s next course of action.
